This guided experience will take you around the mountain via chairlift, gondola, and the Lone Peak Tram. Learn about Big Sky Resort and our natural surroundings, local flora and fauna, geology, and more. On the chair, you'll take in the sweeping views of Lone Mountain and the Spanish Peaks, and ascend to the top of Lone Peak at the Kircliff glass observatory. Tours are 90 minutes long and include scenic lift and Kircliff access for the entire day.

Guides carry bear spray and are educated in wildlife safety to provide peace of mind while you explore.

Scenic lift tickets and Kircliff access are included with the Guided Lift Experience. The included scenic lift tickets are valid for the full day of your tour.
A summer scenic lift ride allows unlimited access to ride our summer chairlifts—Ramcharger 8, Explorer Gondola, and the Tram—throughout the day. Enjoy sweeping mountain views as you ride up, then choose how you'd like to return: you can ride the lift back down, hike down one of our trails, or explore a combination of both. Whether you ride up and hike down, hike up and ride down, or simply ride both ways, scenic lift tickets offer a flexible and breathtaking way to experience the mountain.
Lift tickets and season passes are loaded onto reusable Big Sky Resort Sky Cards. Scan your Sky Card at the lift gates to ride the lift.
If you already have a Sky Card, load your ticket or pass onto the card at checkout and head straight to the lifts.
If you don’t have a Sky Card yet, purchase one during checkout for $5. Pick up new or replacement Sky Cards at a Sky Card Express Box when you arrive. Scan the QR code in your confirmation email at the box. Find Sky Card Express Box locations and learn more about using your Sky Card on the mountain on our website.
Big Sky Resort does not mail Sky Cards.
The Explorer Gondola and Ramcharger 8 will be open daily for biking and scenic summer operations. Swift Current 6 will be open Friday-Sunday for mountain biking access only, and the Lone Peak Tram will be open for scenic rides.
