Join us at our exciting archery range in Montana. Ride up Ramcharger 8 to access the venue, and with Lone Mountain as your backdrop, you'll be hard-pressed to find a more beautiful location to learn a new skill. Perfect for a family looking for something new that includes a great view. You'll be using a Genesis compound bow while shooting at targets set 15 yards away—no experience or equipment needed. Activity lasts around 1.5 hours with around one hour of archery time.

Guided Activity

Experience Big Sky to the fullest with our professional guides. They have the knowledge to answer all your questions about the area, its history, and its geography, and can help choose the best routes for you to make the most of your time on the mountain.

Guides carry bear spray and are educated in wildlife safety to provide peace of mind while you explore.

Details & FAQ

The archery range is located at the top of Ramcharger 8. Access to the chairlift is included in the price of the archery session.
We have Genesis compound bows for archery participants. Bows are included in the session.

When available, summer archery can be booked online at shop.bigskyresort.com - book early for the best availability. Archery can also be booked in person or over the phone.

Ages 8 and up are welcome to try out archery! Participants should be able to pull back a 15 pound bow. 

Fully-enclosed shoes are required for all of our summer activities and tours. Shoes like hiking boots or tennis shoes will protect and stabilize you on our rocky terrain.

The archery range is for guided tours through Basecamp only.

Summer and winter activities meet 15 minutes before the tour starts at the Snowcrest Building in Mountain Village.

In Summer:
Meet your guide at the corresponding A-frame sign outside of the Activities Center, next to Yeit Dogs.

  • Adventure Zipline Tour: Yellow sign

  • Nature Zipline Tour: Green sign

  • Archery, Guide Scenic Lift, & Guided Hikes: Red sign

 

In Winter:
Activities meet outside of Mountain Sports on the snow-level patio. From the plaza, walk up the stairs on the left side of Snowcrest. Turn right to find an A-frame sign labeled “Sno-Go & Snowshoe Meet Here”.
