What's New This Season

WINTER 2025-26

Winter 2025-26

Daily November 26, 2025 – April 12, 2026, with Friday-Sunday access April 17-26, conditions permitting.

Welcome to winter—we can't wait to see you for the upcoming season.

With all the hard work across the resort, and investments in the entire guest experience – the Explorer Gondola and Kircliff opening on December 20th – we want to take a moment to highlight key changes from what you may have experienced in prior years.

Your Arrival

In anticipation of the Explorer Gondola opening this December, which will provide easier and faster access to the mountain, our team reflected on the arrival experience and implemented changes for this coming season.

Updated Parking Lot Shuttle Stops

With the new Explorer Gondola's close proximity to the Lone Peak and Carpool Lots, we are reworking our shuttle system. The shuttles will no longer stop at those lots, as the new lift is only a short walk away. At the end of the day, guests will find a newly signed ski corridor along Whitewing ski run directing them back. This will allow us to better serve our more distant parking lots where walking is less convenient.

Shuttle service will continue to operate to and from Ramshorn, Levinski, Gallatin, Cinnamon, and Cedar lots from 8:30 AM to 6 PM, 7 days per week.

Mountain Village Drop-Off Zone

This season we are implementing a new traffic management flow at the south-end of the village, where paid parking, guest shuttles, and bus lanes converge. There will be new shuttle lanes, and the drop off will work in a counterclockwise direction.

New Explorer Gondola Ticket Office

An additional ticket and pass office will be located on the ground level of the Explorer Gondola facility starting December 20th. For added convenience, SkyCard pickup boxes will also be available for pre-purchased tickets and passes at the Explorer Gondola.

New Experiences On the Mountain

From new lifts to smoother trails, our teams work continuously to bring you a seamless eperience on the mountain.

Opening December 20

Explorer Gondola

The high-speed, 10-person Explorer Gondola will replace the last original chair from 1973, creating a seamless base-to-peak experience for skiers and sightseers alike. Comfortable cabins will improve the beginner experience by providing direct access to mid and upper mountain terrain while increasing uphill capacity and easing congestion in the Base Area.

Opening December 20

Kircliff

Opening with the Explorer Gondola on December 20th, Kircliff is a glass alpine observatory at the top of Lone Peak. For the first time ever, the summit of Lone Peak will be accessible by foot to all visitors, redefining what it means to experience Montana's high country with sweeping views of three states, two national parks and countless mountain ranges.

Grading Terrain

This season, we've completed several significant terrain grading projects to make for smoother, more enjoyable skiing across the resort. These updates include widening of Tippy's and Stillwater Roads, a reimagined intersection of Blue Moon and Fast Lane, and filling in the flat area on Whitewingnear the top of the old Explorer Lift.

Lock In Your Winter

Winter is coming fast, and there’s no shortage of new experiences this season—there's still time to make them yours.
