Details & FAQ
Downhill bike lessons do not include rental equipment or a bike haul ticket. This includes group, private, and multiday programs. Downhill group lessons can bundle all 3 (lesson, rental, ticket) for the duration of the lesson. If you need a bike and ticket during a group lesson, book the downhill group lesson package.
Private lessons (ski, snowboard, nordic, and mountain bike) allow for up to 5 people of your choosing. In winter, private experience lessons must be of the same discipline (ski or snowboard). For the best experience, we recommend grouping similar ages and ability levels.
There are two exceptions: Small Fry Try and First Tracks Refresher Lessons are for individual students only.
All of our Downhill Mountain Bike lessons and programs can be booked online, over the phone, or in person during summer operating hours.
For the best availability, book online in advance. We do sell out of lessons on busy days. If you need assistance booking, please contact us by phone at 800-548-4486.

For downhill mountain biking, prioritize comfort, protection, and breathability. We recommend a full-face helmet, knee and elbow pads, bike gloves, and goggles. Clothing should be loose-fitting, durable, and weather-appropriate. Consider baggy shorts or pants with a padded liner, a wicking shirt, and flat grippy rubber shoes.
