Meet the Bobcat Pass: Blue Pass access at a special rate for Montana State University students and faculty. Validate your MSU status below to purchase your pass.
1. Verify Your Status
Use the student or faculty dialogue box below to enter your details. Big Sky validates your Montana State University student or faculty status using SheerID. Depending on your status, you may have to upload proof of enrollment or verify your university-issued email address.
2. Receive Your Redemption Code
Upon verifying your status, you will be given a one-time code to use on Big Sky's online shop.
3. Use Your Redemption Code to Buy Your Pass
With your code ready, navigate to the Bobcat Season Pass in our online store. Add your pass to your cart. If you need to purchase any other products, you can do so in this same transaction.
Once you're ready, proceed to checkout. After you have assigned products and Sky Cards to members of your group, you will be asked to enter your redemption code to validate your pass purchase. The name registered to the season pass must match the name associated with the code.
Finish checking out, and you're ready to go. We can't wait to see you on the mountain!

The Bobcat pass is Blue Pass access at a special rate for Montana State University students and faculty. To purchase this season pass you will need to verify you school status by filling out the form at the link below. The completed form will issue you a code to enter during the checkout process.
The Unlimited Tram add-on includes scenic and ski/snowboard rides on the Lone Peak Tram all winter. The Unlimited Tram add-on is available for Black, Blue, Bobcat, and Twin Tips season passes.
Ikon and Mountain Collective passes cannot purchase the Unlimited Tram add-on.
The Après Add-On provides afternoon access (12:30 PM - 4:00 PM) on blackout days. Après Access is available for Blue, Bobcat, and Twin Tips passes.
Blue & Bobcat Season Passes with Après Access have access to the resort 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM on all blackout days including Saturdays.
Twin Tips Season Passes with Après Access have access to the resort 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM on all blackout days all season long.
Freestyle, Ikon, and Mountain Collective passes are not eligible to purchase the Après Add-On.
Currently, we do not offer a teacher or educator discount on lift tickets or lodging. MSU students and faculty are eligible for the Bobcat season pass. Purchasing a standard season pass or lift tickets online in advance will guarantee the best price.
Big Sky Resort offers the Bobcat Pass at a special rate for Montana State University students and faculty.
If you’re not affiliated with MSU or are looking for a different pass option, all of our winter season passes include Young Adult pricing for guests aged 18–25.
We do not offer a college or student-age discount for lift tickets or summer passes at this time.
I am a student/ teacher at MSU. How do I get a discounted pass?
Big Sky Resort Blue, Bobcat, Twin Tips, and Freestyle passholders are eligible for discounted tickets on their blackout days or for extra Freestyle pass days. This benefit is for the passholder only. Tickets must be purchased on the day of use at ticket windows. Pricing for these discounted tickets is as follows:

Ikon passes are not eligible for this discount.
Children ages 0–6 of Big Sky Resort Winter Season Passholders are eligible for a complimentary Winter Child Pass. This pass provides unlimited access to Big Sky Resort during the winter season but does not include additional benefits or tram access.
To qualify, the child’s parent or legal guardian must have a current Big Sky Resort season pass. Visit the Mountain Services office at the start of the season—after the guardian has purchased their pass—to obtain the Child Pass.
If you'd like your child to access the tram, you can add Tram Autocharge to their account. However, Child Passes are not eligible for the Unlimited Tram add-on. Age is determined as of November 1 of the applicable winter season.
The Season Pass Rollover program allows you to defer the value of your current season pass toward the purchase of a season pass for the next winter season. Prior to November 15th, your pass can be rolled over for any reason. After November 15th, rollover is only available for qualifying medical circumstances. Cancellation Deadlines

Season passes and any other items purchased in the Big Sky Online Store can be paid for with payment plans offered by Affirm. The cart size must be over $250 to qualify. Choose the Payment Plan option as your payment type in our online store during checkout.
Please add 4% tax to all pass product rates. All rates and information are subject to change. Ages are determined as of November 1, 2026. Big Sky Resort season passes are non-transferable and non-refundable. Benefits are valid for season passholder only with the presentation of Season Pass or purchase confirmation.
