All winter lift tickets, Kircliff scenic tickets and summer bike haul lift tickets are date-specific.

Lift tickets and season passes are loaded onto reusable Big Sky Resort Sky Cards. That can be used season after season. Scan your Sky Card at the lift gates to ride the lift.
If you already have a Sky Card, reload the Sky Card at checkout and head straight to the lifts with your card.
If you don’t have a Sky Card or need a new one, add a new Sky Card for $5 during checkout. When you arrive, can the QR code in your confirmation email to print your card any Sky Card Express Box. Find Sky Card Express Box locations and learn more about using your Sky Card on the mountain on our website.
Big Sky Resort does not mail Sky Cards.
Easy Change is Big Sky Resort’s flexible change program for when your plans change after purchasing lift tickets, rentals, lessons, or activities online. Outside of 48 hours from the start date of your product, you can cancel your purchase for a full refund. Within 48 hours, we’ll convert the full dollar value of your purchase into a credit voucher valid for 365 days if documentation is provided for why you are unable to participate. Lift tickets typically do not sell out. However, you will get the best price when you purchase lift tickets in advance, so it’s worth planning ahead.
Any lift ticket that is required to be purchased in-person will not sell out:
- Big Sky Resort Season Passholder Discount Tickets (for blackout days)
- Boyne Sister Resort Discounted Tickets
- Mountain Collective Discounted Tickets
- Half-Day 12:30 PM Tickets (subject to availability during certain times of the season)
- Beginner Lift Tickets (subject to availability during certain times of the season)
You need a ticket to ride magic carpet lifts. Beginner Tickets give you access to surface lifts, Explorer mid-station (Mountain Village), and Derringer Lift (Madison Base). Buy them day-of at ticket windows for a discounted rate.

12:30 P.M. Half-Day Lift Tickets are available for lift access from 12:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. for a discount off the 1-day window ticket price. Half-Day tickets are available for same-day purchase starting at 12:00 p.m. at lift ticket windows. Half-Day tickets will not be available on days when full-day tickets are sold out.
All children, including those 6 and under, need a valid lift ticket and Sky Card to access the lifts year-round. A one-time $5 Sky Card purchase is required if you don’t already have one.
In winter, lift tickets for ages 6 & under are $1/day. Parents with Big Sky Resort season passes can obtain a season pass for their child age 6 & under. Season pass for child 6 & under
In summer, bike haul and scenic lift ticket prices for ages 6 & under vary and can be found in our online store.
Ramcharger 8 Early Access
Get an hour of first tracks access on Ramcharger 8 before the mountain opens.
Freestyle Season Pass
