Mountain Collective Friends & Family Tickets

Mountain Collective Friends and Family tickets must to be purchased at least 24 hours in advance. 

Ikon Friends and Family tickets can also be purchased in advance online or in-person day of at the ticket windows. The Ikon passholder must be present in person if being purchased at the window. 

Mountain Collective Friends and Family discounts have holiday restrictions. This means you cannot use them on blackout days.

Mountain Collective and Ikon Friends and Family tickets cost 25% off the one day window rate. While regular lift tickets offer advance purchase discounts. Friends and Family tickets maintain the same 25% discount regardless of purchase timing. 

All paid winter lift tickets for ages 7 and up, include both scenic and skier/snowboard access on Lone Peak Tram for the day of the lift ticket. This applies to tickets purchased online or at the ticket windows. Lift tickets and passes that include Lone Peak Tram access are:

• Military lift tickets
• Big Sky Resort Gold passes
• Boyne Passport passes
• Boyne Freestyle passes (on ski days)
• Big Sky Passholder Buddy tickets
• Ikon Friend and Family tickets

• Unlimited Tram add-on includes winter access only
• Kircliff scenic lift tickets provide scenic access only

The following do not include Lone Peak Tram access and should enable Tram Autocharge to use the tram:

When can I ride the tram in the summer? 

Mountain Collective Friends and Family discounted tickets can be purchased online in advance. First, the Mountain Collective passholder needs to request then send the voucher number.

Mountain Collective passholder requests discount voucher 24 hours in advance:

1. Log into your Mountain Collective account. 
2. Find the "Friends and Family" section.
3. Click "Redeem Friends & Family Tickets".
4. Select Big Sky Resort from the list of 26 mountains
5. Read the message about Big Sky Resort's discount and click "Select" again.
6. Click "Check out now." 
7. Confirm your billing information and click "Continue." You will not be charged.
8. Enter your friend or family member's name, birthdate, and email address. Click "Continue".
9. Review the details and click "Complete Redemption".
10. A Thank You page appears. Click "View my Account" to request more Friends and Family vouchers and repeat the steps above.
11. Send the voucher number from your confirmation email to your friend.

The friend can now take this voucher to the Ticket Window to purchase in person or continue with the steps below to buy online.

Redeeming discount online:

1. Go to shop.bigskyresort.com
2. At the top of the screen, enter the voucher and click "Confirm Voucher".
3. A voucher validation window will appear, click "Redeem Voucher".
4. Select your ski date and age and click "Add to Cart".
5. To use another voucher click "Use another voucher" in blue.
6. When checking out, log in to your Big Sky Resort account or create a Big Sky Resort account. If under 18, an adult will need to create a Big Sky Resort account first and then add the under-18-year-old person as a group member to their account before checking out.  
7. Continue through checkout and pay.
