Big Sky Resort Earns No. 2 Spot in Condé Nast Readers’ Choice Awards

Recognized for World-Class Terrain, Innovative Amenities, and Exceptional Guest Experience

BIG SKY, Mont., October 7, 2025 – Big Sky Resort is recognized as the #2 ski destination in Condé Nast Traveler's annual Readers' Choice Awards 2025 for "Best Ski Resort in the US". The prestigious recognition from Condé Nast, voted on by guests and travelers, validates Big Sky's commitment to lift infrastructure investment, on-mountain amenities, and transformative guest experiences.

"This recognition from Condé Nast readers is a testament to our entire team's dedication to providing world-class experiences on some of North America's most diverse and expansive ski terrain," said Troy Nedved, president and COO of Big Sky Resort. "We're honored that our guests have recognized Big Sky as a premier ski destination."

The award comes as Big Sky Resort prepares to unveil several new experiences this winter, including:

M by The Alinea Group: Renowned Chef Grant Achatz leads a four-month restaurant residency, offering guests an extraordinary dining experience with a seasonal menu fusing European culinary precision with the elemental character of Montana's landscape.

Explorer Gondola: The world's fastest 10-person gondola unlocks base-to-peak winter access for the first time to skiers and sightseers alike. A mid-station provides comfortable access to beginner terrain and, with its connection to the Lone Peak Tram, solidifies Big Sky's position as having the most technologically advanced lift network in North America. The Explorer Gondola opens December 20, 2025.

Kircliff: An alpine summit observatory unlike anything else in the American West debuts this winter. Perched at 11,166 feet on Lone Peak, Kircliff is a stunning glass enclosure that offers sweeping 360-degree views across three states and two national parks, redefining what it means to experience Montana's high country.

With 5,850 acres of skiable terrain and an average of 400 inches of annual snowfall, Big Sky Resort offers something for every ability level while maintaining its reputation for wide open spaces.

Big Sky Resort's 2025-26 winter season begins November 26, welcoming new and returning guests to experience the resort that Condé Nast readers have deemed one of North America's very best.
