Big Sky Resort Unveils Full Renovation of its Premier Slopeside Accommodations – The Summit Hotel

The Summit Hotel to undergo transformational renovations

Big Sky, Mont., December 15, 2021 - On the heels of Big Sky Resort’s opening day for the 2021/2022 winter season, the resort’s premier slopeside hotel, The Summit Hotel , debuts a comprehensive renovation to all guest rooms with a lighter, sleeker, alpine luxe aesthetic as part of the resort’s 2025 Vision .

The redesign, led by the award–winning-design firm The Getty’s Group, sits at the confluence of Montana warmth and an alpine luxe experience, with a subtle nod to ski culture with natural beauty and a sleek appeal infused across 213 rooms.

The design features earthy tones and shades of blue throughout, paying tribute to the legacy of Montana sapphires and drawing upon the beauty of the surrounding area for inspiration. In addition to the guest rooms, the renovation also included the property’s common spaces, including the Carabiner Lounge; the on-site restaurant offers the perfect place to take in spectacular views of Lone Peak over lunch, dinner, or cocktails from a delicious gastropub-inspired menu.

Beyond the aesthetics, the guest experience has been further elevated with exclusive amenities such as a ski concierge, “borderless” fitness concept, oxygen enrichment in select rooms, curated in-room nosh box, indoor-outdoor pool, and the hotel’s signature complimentary cocktail, taking après to a whole new level.

“The Summit Hotel is the centerpiece of Mountain Village, offering guests the best ski-in, ski-out access in Big Sky with elevated hospitality and contemporary comfort, said Michelle Frederick, the resort’s vice president of lodging. “We’re incredibly proud to open the doors to the newly renovated property, which is now on par with the world-class skiing just steps away.”

As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability through the Forever Project, The Summit Hotel Owner’s Association and Big Sky Resort donated furniture from the project to the Montana Rescue Mission in Billings to furnish a new apartment complex, as well as the Habitat Restore in Belgrade.

The Summit Hotel and Big Sky Resort look forward to delivering meaningful and authentic experiences to all who visit, both this winter and beyond. Please find photos of the new look here or learn more about The Summit Hotel here.
