The Snow Report

The Snow Report

Good Morning Skiers & Snowboarders, this is Joe Turner with your Big Sky Snow Report for Saturday, April 27, 2024.

Powder, powder, powder; where have you been all April? Better late than never we say and we have plenty of it for our final 2 days left in the 23/24 Lift Service Season. We picked up another 2" overnight making 4" falling in the past 24 hours and 10" in the last 48 hrs. All this snow is making for some incredible turns to polish off the season but hold on, its not over yet. More snow is on the way today and tomorrow and the temps are making sure the snow doesnt go anywhere fast. The Tram has been skiing fantastic while the lower mountain is filled with hoots and hollers from snow enthusiasts having adventures in the glades and piste.

Weather for today will be cloudy with snow falling throughout the day. This morning should see light snow before starting to pick up in intensity around mid-day. We are looking at an additional 1" - 3" falling during the day. Temps will be nice with a high of 36°F before settling down at the 30°F mark tonight. Winds will be mild and flow from the East/Southeast before turning more Southerly this afternoon. Speeds will range from 9 - 15 mph with gusts reaching up into the mid-twenties. Our current mid-mountain base depth now sits at 42" while the upper mountain holds 57" of snow.

With our base depths growing again we have the more terrain to play with and with more snow falling we will be getting face shots until the very end. The conditions are great for the end of the season and the only thing missing is you. So come on up and crush the last 14 hours of lifts spinning and end the season in style. It's gonna be a great day on Lone Mountain so head for the hills and remember to be safe, have fun and we hope to see you out on the mountain.

**Please, remember that unmarked obstacles and hazards exist and are prevalent so ski and ride safe. Always ski/ride with a partner and keep your partner in sight at all times. Please honor our SLOW skiing and riding zones to protect yourself and other guests.
