Summer Group Activities
Trying new things is always more fun with a friend, so why not organize some activities exclusively for your group whilst you're here? If you're here for a wedding or family reunion, these can be great ways for people to spend time together while they experience the beauty of Montana; or, if you're organizing a conference, why not provide some additional recreational activities to allow people to unwind at the end of the day.
The following options are available to groups of six (6) or more and can be adapted to suit your needs. Please contact our Activities Department for more information at 406-995-5745 or email hphillips@bigskyresort.com.
Group Warm-up
Join our Activities Director for the ultimate “anti-icebreaker” game experience – introverts will never be singled out & personal space will not be invaded! The game(s) will be tailored to fit the needs and size of your group. Guaranteed to leave your members smiling.

Pilates
Starting with a basic Matt Pilates format, this group exercise class can be modified according to your needs. Our certified instructor can plan with you ahead of time to customize the class to your group or will offer a class suitable to all abilities. Classes are held in our dedicated Wellness Studio and lead by passionate individuals.

Fitness Classes
Whether your group is looking for a Cardio Class, Weight Training or Group Personal Training, Big Sky Resort has the offering for you. With certified Personal Trainers and Fitness Professionals on-staff and on-call we can accommodate a range of group sizes.

Kayak Rolling
Looking to do some river kayaking? Learn to roll a kayak on Lake Levinsky with a Geyser Whitewater guide. Individual and small group instruction available for this class.

Yoga
We have certified instructors to teach yoga in the traditions of Anusara and Vinyasa. Private classes can be adapted to any range from beginner to advanced.

Intro to Fly Fishing
An introduction to fly fishing in our world class setting. This is a two hour indoor presentation by an expert from East Slope Anglers providing an overview of fly fishing, specifics on flies, the river ecosystem and more.

S’mores
Your group will gather around our fire pit, we’ll have all the fixings for s’mores and can arrange for campfire stories, music or more.

Casting Clinic
An East Slope Angler guide will demonstrate and teach casting technique to your group on our lake. Four participants at a time will work with the guide for 20-30 minutes. We can customize this clinic to fit your group.

Show a private movie for your group in our Amphitheatre.

Guided Biking
This offering is led by the team at Gallatin Alpine Sports and tailored to families. Cross-country mountain biking, downhill mountain biking and road biking instruction available.

Oil Painting
Join local artist and art instructor, Jackie Ranford Corcoran for a delightful experience in art. Jackie will supply all needed materials, instruction and shipment of your painting to your home.

Kayaking/Canoeing
Gather your group on our lake to enjoy the serenity by canoe or kayak. A Geyser Whitewater guide will get you started whether it is your first time or you are a pro. Individuals will take turns on the water under the supervision of the Geyser guide.

Disc Golf Tournament
18-Hole Disc Golf Course starting at the top of the Swift Current Chair Lift!! We’ll provide refreshments and snacks as well as prizes for the top three finishers.

Guided Naturalist Hike
Join our knowledgeable guide for a hike up Moose Tracks, a 4-mile roundtrip hike. We will explore the area’s flora, fauna, geology and more. Groups of 8; additional guides are available at a rate of $120 per guide.
