Big Sky Resort Reports Another Record Season4/15/13
BIG SKY, Mont. — Big Sky Resort is celebrating after closing the season with over 370,000 skier visits, the most the resort has ever seen. Coming off a record 2011-2012 season, the Resort saw a drastic increase over last year’s skier numbers.
“The consistently good snow at Big Sky is key,” said Taylor Middleton, Big Sky Resort’s General Manager. “For the second year in a row while other resorts across the country struggled to keep slopes open, Big Sky started off with a great base and continued to get powder throughout the season. Skiers go where there’s snow.”
In addition to an overall record season, Big Sky Resort saw a record holiday week between Christmas and New Year’s during the ‘12/‘13 season. On Saturday, December 29th Big Sky Resort recorded its highest number of skiers in one day with nearly 6,000 snow enthusiasts, an increase over the previous record day, Saturday of Presidents weekend 2012.
“More skier visits means more business - for the Resort and for the entire community,” said Middleton.
To continue this momentum, Big Sky Resort announced another early season pass sale this spring, offering Adult Gold Season Passes for just $869 +tax, College Gold Season Passes for $599 +tax, and Junior Gold Season Passes for a low price of $299 +tax. Sale prices are available until April 30th.
“When you take into account the consistent snow, variety of terrain, and direct to lift access a season pass provides an incredible value,” said Lyndsey Owens, Big Sky Resort’s Director of Marketing.
