Big Sky Presents Spruce Moose Music Festival

7/01/11 BIG SKY, Mont. — Big Sky Resort is excited to announce the first annual Spruce Moose Festival slated for this Labor Day Weekend.  The music festival, in conjunction with Mountain Fest and a separate Friday night concert, will create a full three days of big-name live music and festivities in the Big Sky community.

The Spruce Moose Festival will feature famed Australian eclectic roots and jam band the John Butler Trio as well as rock band Big Head Todd & the Monsters.  The festival will kick off on Friday night, September 2nd with The Clintons’ CD release party in Whiskey Jacks, then continue on Saturday with Big Sky’s Mountain Fest during the day including a 5k race, cardboard boat race, sidewalk sale, and music on the Plaza.  Saturday evening the music continues with Do It Kappa and The Clintons opening for Big Head Todd & The Monsters and an after party with Pinky and the Floyd at Whiskey Jack’s.  Sunday evening Cure for the Common and Pinky and the Floyd will open for the John Butler Trio, followed by an after party featuring K-Hol and Black Mask at Whiskey Jack’s.

The Spruce Moose Festival will take place in Big Sky Resort’s Mountain Village and is presented by Big Sky Resort in conjunction with Town Square Media.

On Friday, September 2nd, Keb Mo will also play live in the Meadow Village sponsored by the Arts Council of Big Sky.
