Big Sky Resort Announces Military and Educator Appreciation Weekend

BIG SKY, Mont. — For the second time this season, Big Sky will give thanks to the military and educators with a Military and Educator Appreciation Weekend April 15th-17th.  This weekend will offer discounted lodging, lift tickets, rentals and lessons to active, reserve, and retired military personnel as well as those employed by educational institutions. 

Members of the military and educators can take advantage of lodging specials on April 15th and 16th that include $125 Huntley Lodge rooms, $155 one-bedroom Stillwater condos, $170 Summit Hotel rooms, and $199 Shoshone Hotel rooms.  On April 16th and 17th , both members of the military and educators will be able to ski for $45, with a $71 ticket available to their family members on those dates. 

“These folks do so much for all of us, we’re proud to be in a position to help military personnel and educators enjoy an extremely affordable ski weekend at the Resort with friends and family,” said Meg O’Leary, Director of Sales and Marketing.  “This, along with our other annual appreciation weekend in December, is just Big Sky’s way of saying ‘thanks.’”

The event is open to all employees of educational institutions with an identification card or proof of work.  It is also open to all eligible Department of Defense identification card holders including active-duty personnel, guardsmen, reserve duty personnel, and retired members.  Educators and military officials will be able to simply present their educator or military ID to ticket sales and collect their discounted lift tickets. 

Educator and military families will receive 25% off ski school group lessons by presenting their educator or military IDs at the Snowsports School on the second level of the Snowcrest Lodge. For members who want to explore the mountain on the newest equipment, Big Sky Ski Rental, located on the first floor of the Snowcrest Lodge, will offer 50% discounts on skis, boots and poles packages.
