Big Sky Attracts New Non-Stop Flight For Winter Season

BIG SKY, MT. – Big Sky Resort is easier to reach than ever this winter!  We are proud to announce that in addition to recently added daily direct flights from San Francisco and Los Angeles through United Airlines, Allegiant Air will now offer a direct flight from Bozeman to Phoenix-Mesa beginning November 12^th, 2010.

The new flights will operate twice weekly between Gallatin Field Airport (BZN) and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (IWA) with service Monday and Friday. Flights leaving Phoenix-Mesa will depart at 2:40 p.m., arriving in Bozeman at 4:50 p.m.  Flights will depart Bozeman at 5:30 p.m. arriving in Phoenix-Mesa at 7:55 p.m. Allegiant Air also offers twice weekly nonstop service from Bozeman to Las Vegas.

“The success of direct flights to Bozeman make it an easy choice with airlines looking to expand routes” said Meg O’Leary, Big Sky Resort Director of Sales and Marketing.  “Big Sky’s exciting terrain and abundant snowfall attract skiers and riders from all over the country.  These additional non-stop flights make it even easier for those folks to get here and spend less time in the air and more time on the slopes.”

Allegiant Air is known for its low-cost, all-jet flights.  Regular one-way fares on the Bozeman/Phoenix-Mesa route will start at $64.99.

Bozeman’s Gallatin Field airport also offers non-stop flights to and from Denver, Chicago O'Hare, Seattle/Tacoma, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Salt Lake City, and, during the winter and summer, non-stop service to Detroit and Atlanta through various major airlines.
