Len Piotrowski, a Big Sky resident, hobbyist and collector of Native American artifacts and re-creations started Native Accents. Artifacts are purchased from Native American artists or from dealers and collectors largely in the Southwest.

Piotrowski, having grown up in the Southwest has always had an interest in Native American Cultures and art and with sharing and preserving the many art forms of the Many times Native Accents will purchase raw minerals, gems or artifacts and then have them crafted into jewelry with local or family artisans.

Native Accents fits perfectly into the Big Sky mold and works well with the $700,000 in renovations and transformations at slope-side Shoshone this season inspired by the Shoshone Indian Tribe. The recent remodel and design includes a focus on the family and inspiration. The Shoshone Indians lived in Montana, Wyoming and Utah and were hunters and fishers of the numerous game in this area.

“I wanted to offer some unique Montana products that were not currently being offered in Big Sky, specifically in the area of Native Americans,” says Piotrowski, “and the Boyne history of solid management and quality guest experience made Big Sky a desirable location.”

Native Accents is open every day from 10-5p.m. and is located in the Mountain Mall in the Big Sky Base area. For more information on all of Big Sky’s retail and restaurant locations go to www.bigskyresort.com or call 1-800-548-4486.
