Bozeman in Big Sky Weekend
7/16/07BIG SKY, Mont. - Big Sky opens its doors to Bozeman throughout the entire year and the weekend of July 21 will offer plenty of activities for residents to vacation in Big Sky with a short drive. The events offer many opportunities for Big Sky residents to jump in as well.
On Saturday REACH Inc. is hosting its annual Trek To Big Sky fundraiser that raises money to provide living and occupational assistance for Gallatin Valley residents with developmental disabilities. Big Sky Resort has been a proud sponsor for over ten years offering use of the mountain, complimentary access to the scenic lift and prizes of lodging, skiing and golf for the top pledge-getters.
The fundraiser is open to individuals and teams; corporate teams are also encouraged. Pledge forms may be requested directly from REACH, Inc. at 406-587-1271 or picked up from the Huntley Lodge or Summit Concierge desks. Hikers may also choose to register the day of the event, starting at 10 a.m. For a fee of $15 participants can hike up the mountain, utilize the many water stations, have lunch at the top and enjoy the free music provided by the After Midnight band.
Following the hike, relax and get ready for the live performance by the Bozeman Symphony located at the community park at the Meadow Village pavilion. The concert starts at 5 p.m. and is $25 for admission. The Arts Council of Big Sky is sponsoring the event.
