Lift Operations Supervisor

The Lift Operations Supervisor will assist the Lift Operation Manager with training, supporting and supervising the mountain’s first line of customer service. The Supervisor will also perform and supervise all duties expected from a Lift Operator, including operating the assigned lift safely and efficiently, providing physical assistance to guests as required, maintaining all operational aspects of the assigned lift, such as ramps, mazes and signs, while providing excellent customer service and creating positive memories for the guests.

The Lift Operations Supervisor will execute daily Lift Operations with proper relay of information to approximately 6 Lift Leads and 35 Lift Operators per day, insuring quality control on the standards of the Big Sky Resort Lift Operations team.

Verbal, computer and written skills are of great importance to inspect and record documentation on: condition of lifts, safety requirements and safety training of Lift Operators, as well as maintaining constant communication with the Mountain Operations Management, Lift Maintenance and Ski Patrol teams on the current status of operations and safety.

3.       Must have leadership qualities and skills, with Lift Operations experience.

4.       The ability to work as a team, be guest service oriented and safety conscientious is essential.

5.       Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a consistent basis, work outdoors in extreme weather conditions and have skiing or snowboarding experience.

6.       The capacity to be forward looking, work with a sense of urgency, able to reason and react with quick, thoughtful judgment, while remaining calm under pressure and have an eye for detail will make a successful candidate.
