Vehicle Maintenance Manager

Big Sky Resort is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Manager for immediate work.  Applicant must have at least 3 to 5 years of managerial/supervisory experience in a mechanical repair environment, preferably in gas and diesel engines, hydraulics and hydrostatic drive systems.

The candidate will oversee all aspects for maintenance and repair of a diverse fleet, set staffing schedules, monitor and process payroll, lead and direct employee performance, and maintain high quality standards for all resort vehicles and equipment, as well as record keeping. 

The successful applicant should possess strong skills in: troubleshooting and maintenance on trucks, snow cats, heavy equipment and other resort equipment.  Welding and fabrication skills are necessary.  Must work well with others in a team environment.  Candidate must have the ability to operate large machinery to include but not limited to snowcats, forklifts, loaders, garbage truck, and road sander/dump truck.

Job Qualifications:  Previous heavy equipment experience required.  Must have CDL class B (no need for other endorsements).  Schedule varies.  Heavy lifting, working outdoors in cold temperatures at times, and some knowledge of construction also required.
