Assistant Executive Housekeeper - Summit/Village Center
SUMMARY
Assistant Executive Housekeeper—Summit/Village Center Housekeeping is responsible for covering for the Executive Housekeeper’s days off, covering nights off of night supervisors, and assisting in training and motivating the entire housekeeping staff. Assists in creating housekeepers daily lists, inspecting units and computer input, maintaining employee schedules, managing labor hours, and guest and owner interaction/problem resolution.
The Assistant Executive Housekeeper must be able to perform all duties expected of the housekeeping department including heavy lifting, deep cleaning and delivery of supplies. Management and/or supervisory experience in a housekeeping department required. Must be able to coach, counsel and direct the housekeeping staff.
Must be detail oriented, professional and well organized. Knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel required.
DETAILS
· Determine daily work assignments for housekeepers and support personnel according to occupancy.
· Responsible for remaining on site until all blocked rooms are cleaned, entered into computer system, all housekeepers are finished with their daily assignments and all keys have been checked back into the office.
· Responsible for daily Summit and Village Center Unit inspections.
· Responsible for monitoring housekeepers and support personnel performance, progress, and quality of daily assignments.
· Responsible for the knowledge and skills to assist in cleaning when the need arises.
· Monitors the personal appearance of staff members and enforces the Big Sky Employee Handbook polices and guidelines.
· Responsible for bringing unresolved employee or guest/owner issues to the Lodging Manager’s and the Summit Housekeeping Manager’s attention in writing.
· Assists in ensuring that the work environments are safe for employees and guests/owners.
· Assists in coordinating and participating in special projects such as, but not limited to, deep cleans, inventories, and supply needs, and documenting that they are accomplished within the specified time frames.
· Assists in the recruitment, hiring, and training of the housekeepers and support personnel.
· Required to know the fire safety and evacuation procedures and their incorporation into any training.
· Responsible for any and all miscellaneous duties as assigned, documenting the progress of those duties.
· Reports directly to the Summit Executive Housekeeping Manager.

1. Working Hours: Full time year round position
2. Wage: DOE
3. Supervisory/management and housekeeping experience preferred.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong math skills are required.
5. Must be detail oriented, professional and well organized.
6. Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks at once and adapt to changing situations and environments.
7. Heavy lifting required.
