Ski Reporter

The snow reporter is responsible for assembling snow report information on a daily basis from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. and disseminating information to many different media outlets utilizing email, internet, phone, fax and print.  Their duties will also include assisting with special events throughout the winter season.

The position is a full time, seasonal position with 40 hours per week.  The time is structured from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. and flexible for remainder of hours.

 The snow reporter reports directly to the Public Relations Manager but will work with the entire marketing department as well as the Sales and Marketing Director.

 Responsibilities:

• Assemble snow and weather information
• Distribute information to media outlets
• Assemble grooming report and distribute on mountain
• Update snow information on phone and website
• Coordinate special events by working with all appropriate departments prior and during special events
• Market special events to local and regional media events and in some cases to national media sources, including creating press releases
• Conduct surveys to on mountain visitors
• Provided assistance to ticket sales when necessary
• Compile and update photos for internal and external websites
