Conference Coordinator

DETAILS

1.     Contacts group leaders in person and over the phone to gather detail and specifics for group functions.

2.     Prepares and directs BEO to group leaders and for in-house distribution.

3.     Administers changes in details regarding functions.

4.     Secures meal guarantees on guest counts and other important material.

5.     Arranges for audio-visual equipment as needed by meeting planners.

6.     Assists guests in appropriate selection of food, beverage, break items, timing, types of service and appropriate room blocking.

7.     Takes a sales approach to marketing the resort, specifically in banquet and catering areas.

8.     Assists in the preparation of the weekly function sheets, distributes and updates as required.

9.     Analyzes areas needing improvement or changes and confers with the conference services director on suggestions.

10.  Participates in the development of catering menus and sales materials.

11.  Will attend pre-conference meetings with group leaders as needed.

12.  Assumes responsibility for the conference service director in his/her absence.

13.  Weekly will attend the food and beverage managers meeting.

14.  Performs any other duties as required by management.
