Big Sky Resort Adaptive Lift Ticket , Season Pass & Equipment Policy

Adaptive Lift Ticket and Season Pass Policy

Guests that require assistance to load, ride, or unload the chairlifts or require special assistance while skiing because of a diagnosed disability may purchase day tickets at the window rate.  With that ticket purchase, they will be able to receive a single complimentary 1 day lift ticket for their assistant valid for the same day as the original ticket purchase.
If a guest requiring assistance purchases a season pass or a multi-day ticket they may request a single 1 day lift ticket each day that they ski or ride at Big Sky Resort for their assistant.  The ticket for the assistant is valid on the day that they are functioning as an assistant only.  We cannot issue season passes or multi-day lift tickets for assistants.
All transactions must be done in the Mountain Services office.   If there are any questions or concerns about this policy, please call Neil Johnson in the Mountain Services office at 406-995-5741.

2012/13 Big Sky Resort Equipment Policy

Big Sky Resorts lifts and terrain primarily accommodate skiers and snowboarders using traditional equipment that must include bindings and ski retention devices.  The user must be able to load and unload the lifts safely and without assistance and must be on skis or snowblades. Devices without appropriate binding systems, restraining devices and foot passengers are not allowed on lifts or terrain. Recreational devices NOT allowed on Big Sky slopes at any time include sleds, toboggans and most other devices.  Exceptions are made only for disabled skiers using acceptable adaptive equipment that include a binding and retention device.  If the disabled skier cannot load, ride, or unload the lift by themselves safely, then they must be accompanied by their personal assistant. Snowbike / Snowbikers must wear snowblades or skis. Please contact the Snow Sports School or Mountain Services department if you have any questions as to whether your device is approved for use before purchasing your lift ticket.
