Visiting Big Sky is, in and of itself, an event. So imagine how big things get when you time a visit to one of our many annual signature events. Here are a few of our most popular:
Winter
The Snow Bar — Like snow? Like throbbing music? Like bars? Then this is your event. Each year, we build a giant outdoor bar from snow and fill it with great live bands and skiers who shake the mountain all night long. It's quite a party, and one very good excuse for missing first chair the next day.
Big Sky Big Grass Bluegrass Festival — What could be better than a weekend of skiing powder by day and dancing to live Bluegrass by night? The largest winter Bluegrass festival in the northern Rockies features some of the country's finest groups trading licks that will keep your toes tapping, ski boots and all.
Pond Skim — Want to be a YouTube sensation? Try this. Put on a giant hot dog costume, fly down a steep run and try to skim across a man-made pond. Pond Skim — with its parade of costumed, trick-riding, water-walking contestants — has become spring skiing's can't-miss event. Participate or watch. It's a fine way to toast the end of the season.

4th of July - Come see for yourself how impressive fireworks can be under the Big Sky! Community events, food, drinks and live music will make this holiday one you won't soon forget.
Spruce Moose Music Festival - Cap off your summer with a jam-packed weekend of live music under the stars in Big Sky Resort's mountain village.
