INSTRUCTORS:

Anna has been teaching yoga for over 16 years, exploring various methods including Ashtanga, Iyengar and Anusara. She devotes herself to the continued study of elegant and precise biomechanical alignment principles developed through the scientific and living art of Hatha Yoga. Anna's classes empower and support each student's unique differences, limitations, and gifts, emphasizing and supporting the creative expression of the heart. What brings her most joy is to share her knowledge and experience in the hopes of helping students move through life’s struggles and cultivate faith that they can open, heal and become more joyfully themselves.  Anna co-owns and directs Montana Lotus Yoga in Bozeman: www.montanalotusyoga.com.  She teaches in Big Sky, Bozeman, and regionally, leading workshops and retreats.

Lianne Kershaw has been practicing yoga for fifteen years and teaching for ten. As a massage therapist she has an extensive knowledge of the body which enhances her teaching skills. She has taught yoga locally in Big Sky and has also travelled to Nepal four times to teach during adventure trekking/yoga trips. Her training includes study at Kripalu Institute and workshops with favorite yoga masters in the U.S. and Mexico which have given her a diverse and well-rounded style of teaching.

Linda Wilton has spent several years living in Big Sky, Montana. She enjoys the outdoors and has a passion for health and the environment. She gravitated towards yoga while seeking a physical balance to her active mountain lifestyle. Her desire to blend yoga practice into everyday life led Linda to attend 200 hours of teaching training in Bali, Indonesia with teacher Vidya Jacqueline Heisel, founder of Frog Lotus Yoga. She hopes to help others by teaching yoga as a way to balance a mountain way of life in Big Sky.

Jennifer Waters will be offering a Zumba® class for adults. She currently teaches Zumba®, Zumbatomic®, Ballet Fitness, Ballet, and Jazz in Big Sky. She is the daughter of a dance studio owner. She has taught Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Salsa, Cha-Cha, and Modern for many years. She has studied extensively under Marla Hansen, Dance director at Boise State University and co-artistic director of Idaho Dance Theatre. She also studied under Tatiana Baksheyva, a Russian Ballerina. Her modern dance training has been primarily under Kelli Brown, of Off Center Dance Project.  She was asked to represent the Boise State University Dance Department, by Choreographing a piece for the BSU Scholarship Dinner in November of 2011. She was selected to perform at the Idaho Salsa Congress in 2010. She danced and choreographed for the 2009 Special Olympics, held in Boise Idaho.  She is happy to be able to share her love of dance with the Big Sky community.

She is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Personal Trainer and Performance Enhancement Specialist, with specialties in Kettlebells Level 1 and Level 2 training. Morgan:  Healthy living is a passion of mine and I love sharing my experience with other people. I have had the opportunity to lead classes all over the world ranging from Spin to Paddleboard Yoga. Ski-Tone Pilates is a special class I designed for skiers & boarders to prepare their bodies for the slopes by strengthening and lengthening their muscles while focusing on basic Pilate’s concepts. Building a strong powerhouse will also help protect you from injuries!

Kim came to Bikram Yoga after twenty-six years of running, step aerobics, biking, weight training, and competing in triathlons. Her hips and knees were telling her it was time to make a change in her exercise routine.  Kim took her first class in 2004 and it was the hardest class she had ever taken.  She continued to practice because she was curious about the mental and medical benefits of this yoga. Over time, her flexibility improved and her daily rearing of two teenage boys was much more relaxed!    Kim decided to go to teacher training in fall of 2005. Training was the most challenging and rewarding experience of her life aside from raising her children and keeping her marriage strong. Kim wants her students to realize that all yoga experiences can be positive with an open mind and no expectations.  She also wants her students to feel a sense of calm, so they can truly meditate and improve their health and their quality of life.
